The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young
Anne’s Review
For me - this one had some ups and some downs. I love a time travel element, and the love story was definitely intriguing. I thought the characters were well written and had strong relationships. Where it fell a bit flat for me was the plot and pacing. There were points where I had to push myself to keep reading, the twist didn’t get me like I hoped it would, and the resolution just seemed a bit *too* good to be true. I would definitely say this is a solid book, but overall not my fav read!
Kristen’s Review
Adrienne Young spins an illustrious tale of time, family, and the power of one’s own story. This book is a fast read that still feels nostalgic and I absolutely loved it. The story intertwines among itself so well, you’re left trying to straighten everything out until the very end. Young’s writing is poetic and elegant and the ending leaves you satisfied. If you love a story that is complex yet reads simple, this is the one for you!
